Your privacy is important to PrestoCentre. We are aware of the trust you place in us and our responsibility to protect your privacy. We have developed a Privacy Policy that covers how we collect, use and store your information. Please read the following carefully to learn more about our Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy only applies to PrestoCentre. We are not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from our website or the information contained there. Please remember that when you use a link to go from our website to another website, our Privacy Policy is no longer applicable.

What information do we collect?

When you visit the PrestoCentre website you may provide us with two types of information:

  • Organisational and personal information you knowingly choose to disclose while registering for PrestoCentre membership;
  • Website use information collected as you and others browse through our website.

Information you provide to us through membership registration

  • To register as a member with PrestoCentre, your organisation is required to apply for membership before you are able to create a personal online account. If you are applying for your organisation's membership you are requested to provide both organisation information and personal contact information. If your organisation already has a PrestoCentre membership, you are requested to provide personal information. Through registering your organisation for membership or applying for a personal account you knowingly choose to disclose this information as part of your membership.
  • When an employee of your organisation applies for organisation membership, they provide us with general information about the organisation (organisation name, address, phone, email, website) and contact person information (name, address, phone, email, job title, department). After your organisation has become a member of PrestoCentre, and you wish to create a personal account and profile on PrestoCentre.org as a member of your organisation, in registering your personal account you provide us with personal information (name, email address, job title, department within organisation).

Information you provide to us - registered members and non-members (anonymous users)

The below information can be provided by both registered logged in members and non-members/not logged in members (anonymous visitors to the website):

  • Surveys: when you participate in an online survey we may collect a variety of information, such as your name, organisation name, organisation address, email, phone number as well as results and data from the survey.
  • Newsletters: when you sign up for our PrestoCentre email-based Newsletter we will collect your name and email address. We will use this information to notify you about important changes to our website, new services and special offers we think you will find valuable.
  • Events: when you register for PrestoCentre events, conferences, trainings or other activities we will collect organisation and personal information such as your name, email, phone, organisation name, organisation address and other personal or organisation related information.

How we use your personal information

Organisation information

  • Information provided to us during your organisation membership application is used to create your organisation's online profile. This information is only visible once your application has been verified, and will be published online as part of your organisation's profile as we send you your account details. This information as it appears on your organisation's individual profile page and its existence in the online member directory will be visible and accessible to other PrestoCentre members. Non-members (anonymous users to PrestoCentre.org) can only view your organisation's name, address, website and general email in the directory and do not have access to your full organisation profile.
  • We will create your organisation profile based on the membership application. Information submitted during your registration will be visible on your organisation profile. The membership contact person will be able to edit the information on the organisation profile and add more information to complete the full profile.

Personal information - organisation contact person and personal membership account/online profile

  • The personal information provided by the contact person during the organisation membership application will be used to create their personal profile, which they can edit and add to once the account is accessed for the first time. This contact information will also be used to communicate with the contact person for administrative and billing issues related to the organisation's membership.
  • The personal information provided by employees of organisations who register for a personal PrestoCentre account/profile will be used to create their personal profile - they can edit and add to this information once the account is accessed for the first time. Such information provided upon registration includes your name and the name of your organisation, position title, department etc. Privacy settings for other personal information such as phone and email can be configured on your personal profile via your account. The member directory which displays the personal profiles of members is not accessible to non-members - only registered and logged in members to PrestoCentre will be able to view your profile.
  • The employees of your organisation who have registered for a personal account will not be visible on the organisation’s profile or in the online member directory to non-members of PrestoCentre. PrestoCentre members can see all organisation information that is published in the member directory, including employees of the organisation who have created personal accounts, and can view their full profiles.
  • We may use personal information to help us develop, deliver and improve our content and services. For example by sending you surveys via the email address provided.
  • When starting a discussion thread or posting a comment to the online forum, your name, organisation, and photo (if you have added a picture to your personal profile page) will be listed.  As the forum is visible to both PrestoCentre members and to the general public, this personal information will be visible to both. Only PrestoCentre members can start discussions and comment within the forum, but the discussions are visible to all. Non-members can not start discussions.

Information - not specific to only members

Personal information submitted during registration for PrestoCentre events may be used to inform you about event activities, updates and other event-related issues before and after the event.
