Description:

EBU Tech 3293 (EBUCore) is the flagship of EBU's metadata specifications . In 2000, the original goal was to refine the semantics of the Dublin Core elements for audio archives. Today, the domain of use of the EBUCore specification is much broader and is no longer limited to audio or archives. Where is EBUCore? Combined with the EBU Class Conceptual Data Model (CCDM) of simple business objects, EBUCore provides the appropriate framework for descriptive and technical metadata for use in Service Oriented Architectures and also in audiovisual ontologies for semantic web and linked data developments . EBUCore has been adopted by several broadcasters around the world. New in version 1.6: - Additions based on feedback from implementers. - Additions to facilitate mapping with SMPTECore, PBCore, EUSCreen, Europeana and MediaInfo in which the EBU is directly involved. - The update of the EBU extended audio model (3D and object audio).
